Giving

It is the Lord's commandment to give back to your community, as evident through the following scriptures:

"Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross." Philippians 2:6-8 NKJV

"If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you." John 13:14-15 NKJV

"For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another." Galatians 5:13 NKJV

"But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased." Hebrews 13:16 NKJV

"But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works." James 2:18 NKJV

Here at Cowboy Christian Church, we love to give back to the Moore County community and surrounding areas in a variety of ways in accordance with the Lord's commandments. 

We began serving our First Responders of Moore County a free lunch in 2023 to thank them for all that they do and show our appreciation as a community for their sacrifice and bravery.

Pastor Tommie Long began writing newsletters to Texas convicts so that he could minister to those that are facing one of hardest times of their lives. 

Cowboy Christian Church sponsors the Dummy Roping portion of the Cowboy Classic Rodeo. This sponsorship gives us a chance to minister to local youth and encourage them to not only pursue the Lord's talent gifted to them in rodeo sports, but to also plant a seed.
